Dear Chuck,
My family has been enjoying the RCC school performances for several years. The impact on my music loving child has been tremendous. We live in the Victor Valley, so it's a bit of a drive to get there, but we plan our schedule for the year around the performances so that we won't miss them; they are superb. I've become accustomed to my son humming tunes from your musicals, sometimes years later. I appreciate the impact the performances have had on his music education. I knew The Music Man would be outstanding because of your fine reputation and because it's just such a wonderful musical for all ages. My adult daughter is the director of the Hi-Country Harmonaires Barbershop Chorus in the Victor Valley, and she has learned that some teen boys are now interested in learning about barbershop music after attending the RCC performances! Singing this way is musically challenging and so good for kids, and I think it's great that the Music Man has encouraged some kids to want to know about singing in harmony! Thanks for making these opportunities available to school groups. It's very much appreciated.
