Performance Riverside Music Man actress celebrates record-breaking milestone for Broadway's Phantom of the Opera

Performance Riverside actress Teri Bibb, currently cast as Marian Paroo in the upcoming production of The Music Man, has just returned from the gala Broadway celebration of The Phantom of the Opera's record breaking 7,486th performance, surpassing Cats as the longest running Broadway musical ever.

Teri Bibb played the role of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera more than 1,000 times on Broadway and with the national tour, singing a command performance at the White House and earning a Helen Hayes Award nomination and a Carbonell Award along the way. She also played the role of Marian Paroo while on tour and appeared in Performance Riverside’s production of Quilters.

Performance Riverside mainstay John LaLonde will appear as loveable conman Harold Hill. The Music Man also features Beth Mendoza, Quintan Craig, Gary Reinschmidt, Claire Reinschmidt, Angelina Holliman, Anaiah Simons, Victor Hernandez, Kyle Bruich, Analise Lamothe, Kelli Casis, Jan Davis, Margret Hogeland, Bonnie Kovar, Chris Van Ettan, T.J. Dawson, Steve Arlen, Rob Thompson, Danny Blaylock, Jason Guffey, Mel Chadwick, Craig Higgins, Cory Pearce, Chanlon Kaufman, Jimmy Saiz, Ryan Balch, Brandon Brigham, Garret Goodell, Morgan Harris, Andy Reinschmidt, John Reinschmidt, Aaron Wolgemuth, Beverly Crowe, Laurie Richie, Julie Ricks, Dominque Araiza, Emily Gatesman, Stephanie Burkett, Lindsay Martin, Camille Weck, Rachel Weck, and Hannah Wolgemuth. Branch Woodman will direct and choreograph The Music Man for Performance Riverside with Allen Everman as musical director.

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boy's band. The 1958 Broadway hit won eight Tony awards, and the film with Robert Preston, Shirley Jones, and Ron Howard is regarded as one of the best Hollywood musicals ever produced.

The Music Man is playing at Riverside Community College's Landis Performing Arts Center, located at Riverside City College, 4800 Magnolia Avenue. Performances for The Music Man are on February 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th at 8pm, February 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th at 2pm, and February 19th at 7pm.
